How to cook Crunchy Roasted Chickpeas

It takes less than an hour to serve crispy roasted chickpeas at home. Here, you need to pay attention to the main three process, which first you need to bake the peas without oil, then add the oil slowly and bake again until it turns crispy. After that, make sure you allow it to cool in the oven to make it even crispier. Now, what you need to do is simply follow the instructions written below from the beginning until the end.


  • A can of chickpeas
  • A half teaspoon of ground cumin
  • A half teaspoon of smoked paprika
  • A half teaspoon of garlic powder
  • A quarter teaspoon of onion powder
  • A quarter teaspoon of ground coriander
  • A half teaspoon of salt
  • A quarter teaspoon of black pepper
  • A tablespoon of olive oil


1First, you need to heat the oven over 400 Fahrenheit-degree. While waiting for the oven to be ready, you may prepare a baking sheet and spray it with a non-stick spray. After that, set this sheet aside and you can continue to prepare for other ingredients.

2Next, clean the chickpeas with the running water. After that, drain them all and place to a small bowl along with other ingredients, such as cumin, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt and pepper as the seasoning. Mix it well and then set aside.

3Place the chickpeas mixture on a baking sheet and put it in the oven to bake around 15 minutes. After it is done, get the sheet out of the oven and add a half tablespoon of olive oil and spices. Stir well with the chickpeas, and if it is needed, you may add more olive oil until it covers the chickpeas well.

4Then, put it back again to the oven and bake around 10 minutes. Here, you may bake for a bit longer until you can achieve the desired crispiness of the chickpeas texture. After it is completely done, then do not remove the sheet out of the oven until the chickpeas get cool and reach its maximum crispiness.
