- 4 cups of seedless watermelon, in balls or cubes
- 2 liters of water
- ½ lemon, slice thin and peel
- ½ lime, slice thin and peel
- ¼ cup of fresh mint leaves
1Take large pitcher and add lime slices, lemon slices, and the watermelon balls. Using the back of a spoon or fork, crush the watermelon, lime, and lemon slowly. When they are crushed, take the mint leaves and rub them in your palms to crush it. Toss it in the pitcher. Add 2 liters of water in it and stir a little.
2Transfer the pitcher into the fridge and freeze it for around 2 hours so everything is well infused into the water. When you are ready to serve, take out the pitcher and stir again until all ingredients are well mixed. Add ice and serve in glasses with more watermelon, mint leaves, and lime slice for garnish.
You can also opt to strain this detox water first before serving. You can use the solid for garnish or eat it as snacks, serving only the water.
1Boil the water and set aside. Prepare a large pitcher and add the lemon slices, and lime slices into it. Using the back of a fork or spoon, crush the entire ingredients. Rub the mint leaves in your palm and toss into the pitcher. When all are well crushed, add the boiling water into it. Pour 2 tablespoons of sugar or honey. Stir a little and set aside to cool.
2While waiting for the mixture to cool, prepare a blender. Add the watermelon balls and 3 cups of water in it, and blend until smooth. Transfer the watermelon blend into a new large pitcher by straining it. Discard the solid leftover and use the strained liquid only. Strain the previous mixture into this new pitcher and discard the mint leaves. Top it up with a little more water and a little more lime juice to taste. Stir until everything is well mixed.
3Transfer the detox water into the fridge and cool for about 2 hours. When you are about to serve it, take it out and stir again. Serve in glasses and garnish with extra watermelon and lime slice, and top with mint leaves. Add ice cubes if desired.
