Prepare time: 10 min Cook: 5 min Ready in: 15 min
- 2 pounds of peeled watermelon cubes
- ¾ cup of freshly squeezed and strained lemon juice
- 4 cups of water
- ⅔ cup of granulated sugar
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish
- Ice cubes
1Put the watermelon cubes in a bowl and chill them. Do the same with the lemon juice and water. When all of them are chill enough, take it out and set aside. Prepare a blender and add the watermelon cubes into the blender. Pulse the blender until the watermelon changes into puree. Set aside the watermelon puree.
2Prepare a large mixing bowl and transfer the watermelon puree into it through a strainer with fine mesh. Put a little pressure on the strainer when you pour it to make sure all the juice comes through and leaves the solid pulp.
3Prepare a large pitcher and add sugar, lemon juice, and water in it. Whisk the entire ingredients together until the sugar is well dissolved. Slowly pour the watermelon juice into the pitcher while stirring it. When everything is well incorporated, give it a taste. Add some more sugar if it isn’t sweet enough. Prepare several glasses and pour the lemonade into the glass. Add ice cubes and garnish with fresh mint leaves.
